Rain and Toku Launch Stablecoin Payroll Infrastructure

Rain, a global platform for issuing payment cards using stablecoins, has partnered with Toku, a company that provides token and stablecoin-based payroll solutions. The partnership introduces a real-time, compliant stablecoin payroll system for international teams.

Through this integration, companies can pay employees instantly in stablecoins across more than 100 countries while meeting local compliance requirements. Rain’s infrastructure links with Toku’s system, which handles employment and tax regulations, allowing for smooth and legal payroll processing.

The system enables employers to calculate and distribute net pay while complying with tax and labor rules. Payments are settled onchain in stablecoins such as USDG, USDC, and RLUSD, using platforms like ADP, Workday, and Gusto. Funds are sent directly to employee wallets or digital asset accounts, helping reduce delays and costs linked to traditional banking systems. Employees receive payments in wallets they control, with the option to use Rain-issued cards.
