Circle Rolls Out Circle Gateway to Simplify USDC Cross‑Chain Use

  • Circle Gateway offers a unified USDC balance, removing the need for pre-funding across multiple blockchain networks.
  • Developers can access instant cross-chain USDC liquidity with one simple integration using Circle Gateway.

Circle is back with an innovation by launching Circle Gateway, a new service for developers that allows integrated USDC balance management across multiple blockchains in one unified view.

Previously, developers had to work around managing funds across multiple networks, but now just one integration is enough—and everything can be accessed directly.

Today, we introduced Circle Gateway, a new developer service that enables a unified @USDC balance for instant crosschain liquidity.

Circle Connects the Dots: Easier Liquidity Across Chains With Gateway

What makes it interesting is that this Gateway also simplifies the cross-chain liquidity process. So USDC doesn’t just sit still on one chain, but can be directly transferred to another network without any hassle. No more pre-funding or rebalancing. Everything happens automatically. Users can even withdraw funds freely, without losing control. Fair enough, right?

Furthermore, this service will be tested first on several testnets such as Ethereum and Base. For developers who have been waiting for a more “human” infrastructure, this could be good news. Moreover, this integration does not stand alone. It works in harmony with Circle’s CCTP (Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol), which has been used to burn and re-print USDC natively between networks.

CCTP has previously launched its second version, and according to CNF reports, it is now available on Unichain. With this update, the USDC transfer process is faster and supports developer automation through features such as Hooks.

One Step Towards a Simpler Ecosystem

Previously, in May, they also launched CPN Mainnet, a blockchain-based payment network that enables instant cross-border transactions. This network is claimed to have supported major global corridors and collaborated with a number of strategic partners.

They want to provide an efficient payment system that can be monitored in real-time. If we imagine the world of traditional banking which is often slow and full of bureaucracy, Circle’s steps are like the shortcut we have been hoping for.

On the other hand, still in the same month, Circle Paymaster has expanded its functions. Now the EOA (externally owned account) wallet can use USDC to pay for gas. This means that users no longer need to have ETH, MATIC, or other native tokens just to send coins. This feature is even supported on seven major blockchains, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Polygon.

All of these updates also reflect that Circle is getting serious about building a USDC infrastructure that is not only strong, but also collaborative. And for those who are tired of the traditional model with too many “buts,” Circle Gateway might be the turning point they’ve been waiting for.
