Billionaire entrepreneur Justin Sun, founder of the Tron ecosystem and owner of Huobi (HTX) and Poloniex cryptocurrency exchanges, announced in his statement that he will launch a new airdrop program.
According to his statement, Sun will distribute a special airdrop through Binance Square’s Red Packet feature to celebrate the Tron network reaching 200 million accounts.
Red Packet is a feature that allows users to send fun cryptocurrency gifts to their friends via Binance Pay. A Red Packet containing a random or specific amount of tokens can be created and distributed through an airdrop-like program.
In his statement, Sun said that this was just the beginning and not the actual airdrop event.
Recently, Huobi and Poloniex cryptocurrency exchanges were the victims of multimillion-dollar hacking attacks. Justin Sun said that all users’ assets will be returned to them and in addition, users of the two exchanges will be rewarded with an airdrop. It is thought that this latest airdrop announcement is different from the airdrop event that will be distributed to exchange users.
There are no further details yet about the airdrop that will be distributed to exchange users.
