This move aligns with the upcoming token reissue. A 1:1 token swap of $KLAY to $KAIA will follow, with no action to be required from the users’ end. Crypto.com shared the details of the rebranding with its community through its official X account, sharing the upcoming strategies regarding this rebranding.
$KLAY Delisting and Token Conversion Details
The delisting will occur at 01:00 UTC on the Crypto.com App and 02:00 UTC on the Crypto.com Exchange. Users holding $KLAY will have their tokens automatically converted to $KAIA at a 1:1 ratio. Crypto Wallet and Spot Wallet balances will reflect this change upon migration completion, ensuring a smooth transition for users.
Significantly, $KLAY Target Price, TWAP, and Recurring Buy orders will be terminated. Additionally, after the delisting date, KLAY will no longer be available for card top-ups, including Auto Top-Up. Users are encouraged to take note of these changes ahead of time.
Changes To be Made at Crypto.com Exchange
On the Exchange platform, $KLAY spot trading and trading bots will be suspended permanently. Users are advised to terminate active $KLAY trading bots by October 28, 02:00 UTC, to avoid trading disruptions. Crypto.com will issue a separate announcement when $KAIA deposits and withdrawals are re-enabled.
Moreover, the migration of $KLAY to $KAIA is expected later. Crypto.com has assured users that another announcement will confirm when the new $KAIA tokens’ trading, deposits, and withdrawals are live.
