Soneium layer 2 launches gaming incubator to support projects and drive ecosystem adoption

Soneium has launched an incubator program aimed at supporting Web3 projects by providing resources and financial backing to help them scale and gain exposure.

Soneium, an Ethereum Layer 2 developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs, has unveiled a new incubator program called “Soneium For All.” The program is designed to help Web3 projects overcome common challenges in the go-to-market process, such as user traction, technical scalability, and visibility.

Developers selected for the program will have access to a production-ready, high-traffic network that already supports major IPs. The accepted projects will gain exposure through Soneium’s official marketing channels, including blog features, livestream sessions, and AMA events.

The incubator also offers financial backing, including one-on-one mentoring and strategic advisory sessions through the Sony Innovation Fund, an official partner of the initiative.

There is also $60,000 grant pool available for qualifying projects that integrate the Astar (ASTR) token as a utility or payment mechanism, made possible through the partnership with Astar Network.

Applications for the program opened on June 9, and winners will be announced in late July, with deployments expected to begin shortly thereafter.

By launching the Soneium For All incubator, Soneium builds on its earlier efforts to accelerate the adoption and growth of its Layer 2 blockchain. Specifically, this new initiative follows the success of the Astar Contribution Score campaign earlier this year, which was also a collaboration with Astar Network. The ACS campaign incentivized users to engage more deeply with the Soneium ecosystem, rewarding them for their active participation and liquidity provision across DeFi platforms.
