  3. Algorithmic Stablecoins: These stablecoins use algorithmic mechanisms to regulate the coin’s supply and demand dynamically. Instead of being directly pegged to a reserve, their value is maintained through algorithmic adjustments. Ampleforth (AMPL) is an example of an algorithmic stablecoin.

Pegging plays a crucial role in promoting mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies by reducing the volatility that often deters users from utilizing digital assets for everyday transactions. Stablecoins, with their pegging mechanisms, offer a bridge between the traditional financial world and the decentralized realm of cryptocurrencies, providing users with a reliable and stable medium of exchange.
