Two cryptocurrency whales have made significant moves to accumulate Bitcoin, seizing the opportunity as the price slightly dipped from its recent all-time high (ATH). According to Spot On Chain, in the past few hours, the whales have withdrawn a combined total of 1,897 BTC from Binance. The worth of these coins is approximately $142.6 million.

Whales “bc1qay” and “bc1qh8” Withdraw 1,897 $BTC Worth $142.6M

The first whale, with wallet “bc1qay,” cashed out 1,225 BTC, equal to $92.2 million at a price of $75,226, six hours ago. The whale currently owns 1,775 BTC which cost $133.4 million and has an unrealized profit of $2.56 million.

At the same time, a second whale with the username “bc1qh8” transferred 671.74 BTC, valued at $50.4 million at the current $75,080, several hours ago. This is the first time that the whale has cut back its exposure significantly on the exchange.

Two Crypto Whales Build Bitcoin Holdings, Eyeing Future Price Appreciation

The large transactions indicate that both these ‘whales’ are maybe planning to slowly build up their Bitcoin holdings in preparation for more price appreciation. The fact that they are buying them now at what is perhaps a small down turn shows they have faith in the currency in the long run regardless of short-term fluctuations.

As Bitcoin continues to set new all-time highs, these actions underscore the continued dominance of institutional and high-net-worth investors in the crypto ecosystem.
