Dates to Follow for Bitcoin Spot ETF Approval are Set! Here is the Calendar Not to be Missed

The race for Bitcoin (BTC) Spot ETF approval is heating up as many companies submit applications. Bloomberg analysts estimate that spot ETF applications have a 90% chance of being approved en masse by January 10, 2024. Here’s a summary of the companies that have applied so far and the deadlines to follow:

• Grayscale has re-filed for the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, which is “physically” backed and listed on the NYSE. Custodian Coinbase and form 19b-4 were first published on October 19, 2021. The next deadline is unknown at this time.
• 21Shares & ARK had re-filed for the CBOE-listed ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARK8). The custodian is Coinbase and the form 19b-4 was published on April 25, 2023. The next deadline and final deadline is January 10, 2024.
• BlackRock had applied for iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBTC) to be listed on Nasdaq. The custodian is Coinbase and the form 19b-4 was published on June 29, 2023. The next deadline is January 15, 2024, and the final deadline is March 15, 2024.
• Bitwise has re-applied for Bitwise Bitcoin ETP Trust (BITE) to be listed on the NYSE. The custodian is Coinbase and the form 19b-4 was published on June 28, 2023. The next deadline is January 14, 2024 and the final deadline is March 14, 2024.
• VanEck has re-applied for the VanEck Bitcoin Trust to be listed on the CBOE. Depository Gemini and form 19b-4 were published on June 30, 2023. The next deadline is January 15, 2024 and the final deadline is March 15, 2024.
• Wisdomtree had re-applied for Wisdomtree Bitcoin Trust (BTCW) to be listed on the CBOE. The custodian is Coinbase and the form 19b-4 was published on June 30, 2023. The next deadline is January 15, 2024 and the final deadline is March 15, 2024.
• Invesco & Galaxy has re-filed for the Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF (BTCO) to be listed on the CBOE. The custodian is Coinbase and the form 19b-4 was published on June 30, 2023. The next deadline is January 15, 2024 and the final deadline is March 15, 2024.
• Fidelity has re-applied for Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust to be listed on the CBOE. The custodian was identified as Fidelity and the form 19b-4 was issued on June 30, 2023. The next deadline is January 15, 2024 and the final deadline is March 15, 2024.
• Valkyrie has re-applied for the Valkyrie Bitcoin Fund (BRRR) to be listed on Nasdaq. The custodian is Coinbase and the form 19b-4 was published on July 3, 2023. The next deadline is January 17, 2024 and the final deadline is March 19, 2024.
• Global X has re-filed for the Global X Bitcoin Trust to be listed on the CBOE. The custodian is Coinbase and the form 19b-4 was published on August 4, 2023. The next deadline is November 21, 2023 and the final deadline is April 19, 2024.
• Hashdex has applied for the Hashdex Bitcoin ETF to be listed on the NYSE. Form 19b-4 was published on September 22, 2023. The next deadline is March 31, 2024, and the final deadline is May 30, 2024.
• Franklin has filed for the Franklin Bitcoin ETF to be listed on the CBOE. The custodian is Coinbase and the form 19b-4 was published on September 26, 2023. The next deadline is March 31, 2024, and the final deadline is May 30, 2024.
