AxLabs has released v3.24.0 of Neow3j with compatibility for Neo v3.8 and a range of significant updates. The release includes multiple breaking changes, feature additions, and internal improvements.

The Neow3jConfig class has been restructured, removing static defaults except for the address version, which now uses new getter and setter functions. Several SDK methods have been renamed, removed, or made to throw exceptions. Notably, the build() methods in Neow3j and Neow3jExpress now perform RPC calls and will throw errors if the node is unreachable.

New features include support for custom protocol builds, additional serialization functions, and an offline RPC service. The devpack adds native support for base64 encoding, Ed25519 verification, and new policy methods. Curve definitions have also changed, replacing NamedCurve with NamedCurveHash.

Other improvements include a restructured RPC implementation for consistency and adjusted default call flags in contract interfaces. Fixes address JVM compiler warnings and permission conflicts.
