- Nearly half of the 100 million SXT tokens were claimed just weeks after launch.
- Strong claim activity from LINK stakers signals heavy engagement ahead of the August 6 deadline.
Chainlink’s reward program, Season Genesis, has paid out almost half of its overall available allocation just a few weeks into the claim period. Of the 100 million available Space and Time (SXT) tokens available to eligible stakers of LINK on May 8, 2025, 47% of claimants have already collected. The incentive is still available for a short time, with a deadline to claim on August 6, 2025.

The Season Genesis event joins a larger initiative on the part of Chainlink to incentivize ongoing engagement in its network. These incentives are closely related to an expanding relationship between Space and Time (SXT) and Chainlink, which has allocated a considerable amount of its token supply to fund the program.
A total of 60% of the offered SXT available during this round has now been claimed. This rate of uptake indicates high engagement on the part of the staking community, as holders of LINK take the opportunity to claim SXT as a reward for their continued support.
Chainlink Rewards See First 100M Drop
Out of the total Space and Time token supply, there was a 4%—that added up to 200 million SXT—reserved for the Chainlink ecosystem. Of these, 100 million SXT were released during the current round. The rest of the tokens, including the unclaimed ones from the ongoing distribution, are to be used later under the same program.
Chainlink launched its Rewards Program on May 5, 2025. This was an addition to the Chainlink Build program, enabling projects involved to reward members in the ecosystem. It has been emphasized that the stakeholders of LINK who were active as of March 31, 2025, will be rewarded with claim rights for a period of 90 days.
The program has the aim to grow longer-term involvement while further strengthening the Chainlink network’s infrastructure. Space and Time was one of the first Build participants, joining the program in 2022. Being part of this rewards system underscores an interest in bringing additional real-world data into decentralized applications.
Project Leads Emphasize the Collaboration’s Value
Scott Dykstra, a co-founder of Space and Time, remarked on the rewards program as a turning point. Both the launches of Chainlink Rewards and the Build program represented turning points for the two communities, pointing to the collaborative momentum gained through the Build program.
Johann Eid, Chainlink Labs’ Chief Business Officer, further elaborated on the Space and Time partnership as a telling development in the industry and a further crystallization of the larger vision for what the union aims to fulfill.
“It’s very exciting to see our collaboration with Space and Time lead to such a fundamentally important initiative for our industry,” said Johann Eid
Apart from the instant token dispersal, the program supports involvement from a broad variety of Web3 projects through the provision of exposure to testing and technical tools. The fee paid by participating projects in turn funds maintaining and expanding Chainlink’s infrastructure.
