Ethereum Founder Vitalik Buterin Highlighted the Two Most Important Goals for Ethereum! Here Are the Details

Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, in his response to the question “How can we make Ethereum great again?”, highlighted two main goals: Widespread adoption and maintaining high security and decentralization.

Buterin stated that three or four years ago, he didn’t recommend DeFi (decentralized finance) platforms as a savings tool for ordinary users because the risk of losing principal was much higher than the potential return. However, Buterin emphasized that this has changed, and stated that current data is promising.

According to Buterin, the DeFi ecosystem is becoming more secure. Indeed, the share of losses due to hacks in DeFi protocols as a percentage of the total value locked (TVL) has dropped below 0.53%. This indicates that the system is becoming more resilient and user-friendly than before.

Buterin said that the Ethereum community should focus on maintaining these security gains while also increasing scalability and attracting more users to its network in the coming period, and that by achieving these two goals, Ethereum could be “great again.”
