The traditional financial world is witnessing record-breaking interest in Ethereum. Ethereum spot ETFs attracted approximately $2.18 billion in investment over the past week, with net inflows of 677,000 ETH. This represents the highest weekly inflow in Ethereum ETF history.

Ethereum Spot ETFs Break Record: Weekly Inflows $2.18 Billion, ETHA Tops Volume

Thanks to these massive inflows, the total on-chain holdings of Ethereum ETFs, measured by known on-chain addresses, reached an all-time high of 5.15 million ETH.

During the same period, trading volume for Ethereum ETFs also exploded. Total weekly volume reached $10.5 billion, representing an average daily trading volume of $2.1 billion. Nearly 70% of this volume, and over 80% of all net inflows, occurred through the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA).

Driven by the sharp rise in ETH prices, the asset value of spot Ethereum ETFs under management reached over $15.5 billion, setting a new record. ETH surged 27% in the past week and 52% in July.

Institutional Ethereum Purchases Support Rally

The ETH rally is driven not only by ETF demand but also by institutional treasury purchases. Sharplink Gaming (SBET) stands out in particular. Over the past nine days, the company has aggressively purchased ETH, reaching 280,706 (~$840 million), surpassing the Ethereum Foundation to become the largest institutional holder of ETH.

SBET financed these acquisitions with a $1 billion stock issuance program announced in May. On July 17, the company applied to increase this program to $6 billion and announced that these funds would be used to purchase new ETH. Shareholders will evaluate this plan in a vote on July 24.

Other Companies Are Also Building ETH Treasuries

Apart from SBET, BitMine Immersion (BMNR) and Bit Digital (BTBT) are also implementing similar strategies.

  • BMNR raised $250 million in funding at the end of June and held a position of 163,000 ETH.
  • BTBT announced that it has received over 100,000 ETH following a $172 million funding round and Bitcoin sale.

This strong institutional demand for Ethereum ETFs isn’t just about price appreciation; it’s also further solidifying ETH’s place in the financial system. With ETF records, institutional ETH treasuries, and increasing investment volume, Ethereum is solidifying its position as a store of value and high-yield asset in the eyes of investors.
